Sedona Desert Moonstone Retreat and Casita Description
Some vacations are grander and more impressive than others, especially when multiple families together. Our Sedona Moonstone Retreat is a large home that offers 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and room for up to 13 guests, but if you really want to do it up right, that may not be enough room, which is why our recently constructed casita was built on Desert Moonstone’s property, adding two more bedrooms, a kitchenette, and one more bathroom to the vacation celebration. More is always merrier when you choose Sedona.Org and these two spaces combine to give up to 18 guests the vacation of a lifetime!
The main house is designed for families, offering a southwest flavor to their Arizona adventures; enter through the double red doors at the front of the house and let the good times begin!
Living Room: Leather furnishings provide a soft place to land, a stone fronted gas fireplace provides warmth and romance, and a 65-inch smart TV hangs over the mantel, providing entertainment to all who watch. A set of sliding glass doors lead out to a covered deck and more places to sit while a desk sits against a nearby wall, half in the dining room, half in the living room, and fully available for Zoom meetings, school work, or social network site scrolling.
Kitchen: This large space is easily large enough for multiple chefs to work together to create meals for hungry travelers, offering custom cabinets in olive green, high-end stainless steel appliances, great expanses of granite countertops and a breakfast bar that offers seating for four more occupants.
Dining Room: A big open space such as this should always be filled with the aromas of good food and the laughter and chatter of large families and our Desert Moonstone dining room often offers both. A large wood table sits under a classic glass globe topped chandelier providing seating for eight, with room for four more at the breakfast bar just behind. Open the sliding doors that lead to the deck and you have room for at least six more at the iron patio set lying just beyond the doors.
Bedrooms/Bathrooms:
Master Bedroom: A sturdy king bed with wood head and footboards in dark black provides sweet dreams to all who sleep here and a day bed with a twin trundle bed allows an entire family to sleep together, saving space for other guests. The 40” Smart TV has access to all your favorite streaming channels and an ensuite bath featuring a granite toped dual vanity, large soaking tub, and separate shower all of which combine to create an incredible suite retreat. Sliding glass doors lead out to the deck where morning coffee and evening wine chat sessions can be enjoyed.
Master Bedroom 2: Much like master bedroom one this suite features a king bed, this one with distressed wood head and footboard, a twin sofa sleeper, and a 40” Smart TV. Also offering an ensuite bath with separate soaking tub, shower, and double vanity, this suite is perfect for small families.
Bedroom 3: Everyone loves a good bunk room on vacation, especially the smallest travelers and the twin over full bunk bed and this room is large enough for at least three youngsters to enjoy! This room shares a bathroom with bedroom four and offers a walk-in shower and single granite topped vanity.
Bedroom 4: We’ve said it before, and we will say it again: Grown up siblings need to share a room at least once in their life after moving out and the two twin beds and sofa sleeper in soft teal leather will ensure that late night chats about the old days will go on for hours.
The Casita
Every home could be enhanced with a private casita in the backyard and Desert Moonstone’s casita is the perfect example! Recently built and still offering that new home smell, this sweet structure is great for small families, adult siblings, or to allow the mother-in-law her own private space!
Living Room: A large window lets in the light and an uber comfortable leather sofa and matching chair and a half provide comfort when watching the 55-inch smart television sitting directly opposite the furnishings.
Kitchenette: The large kitchen in the main house really makes having a separate kitchen redundant, but this stylish room does offer extra conveniences. A mini-fridge, sink, microwave, coffee maker, and blender, all in stainless steel, ensure guests won’t have to walk through the back yard for a midnight snack or a morning cup of joe!
Bedrooms:
Bedroom 1: A queen-sized captain’s bed and desert art bring cheer and comfort in this space that shares the only bathroom with the second bedroom and the public spaces of the casita. Wood floors that go throughout the home add a luxurious touch to the décor.
Bedroom 2: This room features a twin over full bunk and access to the shared bath which offers a walk-in shower, single granite topped vanity, and soft fluffy towels.
Hot Tub: Yes, hot tub with seating for 6 people.
Amenities: Putting green, fire pit, bocce ball court and corn hole pitch, and a yoga/meditation area.
BBQ: Yes, gas BBQ grill, patio seating, and gorgeous surrounding views of the red rocks.
Laundry Room: Yes, side-by-side washer and dryer.
Parking: Yes, private driveway parking.
Wireless Internet: Yes.
Air Conditioning: Yes, the unit has central A/C.
