Devil’s Bridge Trail

Devil's Bridge Trail

Devil’s Bridge Trail

Despite its off-putting name, the natural sandstone archway showcases some of the most impressive and heavenly views in the Sedona area. Devil’s Bridge’s name had originated from an old folklore tale hinting that bridges were so unique and strangely structured that they must have been designed or built by the Devil himself.

This trail is a “can’t miss” in Sedona because of the whole family’s ability to join in on the fun. The climb is easy for kids, but it is a long walk to the trailhead if you park in the parking lot. Be prepared for the nap of a lifetime at one of our well-equipped, family-sized vacation homes. After this hike, your feet will thank you.

This trek is a steady hike, finishing up around 2 miles round-trip. Even though you’re only ascending about 400 feet on the duration of your walk, you’re sitting at 4,600 feet in elevation, giving you 360-degree views of the encompassing Sedona area.

Mund’s Wagon Trail

Munds Wagon Trail

Munds Wagon Trail

Munds Wagon Trail is an easy, casual hike along Schnebly Hill Road. The trail offers excellent views of Sedona, red rocks, and if you are lucky, small pools of water runoff that make the rocks very photogenic.

Although this trail can be long and strenuous, it’s the perfect hike to experience all that Sedona has to offer. From more massive rock formations out in the distance to little pockets of living wildlife to experience. Munds Wagon Trail is a top-tier hike that can open up endless possibilities.

Another pro of hiking Munds Wagon Trail is that you’ll never experience the same hike more than once. With different opportunities to explore off the beaten path and even an option to find a friend with a horse and ride trails, Munds has a cornucopia of choose-your-own-adventure possibilities.

Make sure you pack plenty of water if you plan to walk to the entire out-and-back trail. It is long, and depending on the time of year, it can become warm, leading to dehydration.

A Red Rock Pass is required for the Munds Wagon Trail. Please see a local Visitor’s Center with vending machines with the Red Rock Passes available for purchase. You can also purchase the required pass in person at the Sedona Chamber of Commerce or online at My Scenic Drives. (https://www.myscenicdrives.com/store/)
